Be Athletic Timer
Be Athletic Timer is a focused workout timer for interval training. Build any routine you need from activity types—work, rest, recovery, prepare, cooldown—and let the timer guide you through it. Whether you're doing HIIT, Tabata, EMOM, or custom intervals, the app keeps you locked in with a clean, distraction-free timer.
How it works
Most timer apps only feature fixed "work" and "rest" phases organized into sets and repetitions. Be Athletic Timer offers workout intervals for activities across five categories, with configurable durations. It includes cycles that can be set to repeat at customizable rates and nested within one another, enabling highly flexible workout routines with a variety of activity types and interval lengths.
Features
The timer, which requires your attention, interrupts the workout—everything here is meant to help you put your phone down.
-
Workout builder
Create and modify routines: intervals, cycles, and repeats. Make changes once, and all future sessions will follow. -
Pre-made presets
Includes ready-to-use options like Tabata, EMOM, Pyramid, SIT, The Little Method, 30-20-10, and more. Duplicate a preset to customize it. -
Continuous operation with screen off
Lock your phone, put it in your pocket, or switch to music—the timer keeps running and alerting. -
Audible and tactile cues
Powerful sound and vibration cues so you never need to check whether the interval has changed. -
Sync with Apple Health
Completed sessions automatically appear in Health, contributing to your rings and workout history. -
Dark and light modes
Designed with IBM's Carbon Design System, offering clear visibility in both dark environments and bright sunlight.
Included
The timer simply manages the intervals, so these work for activities like running, rowing, swimming, kettlebell exercises, bodyweight routines, or mobility work — the structure doesn't specify the type of training.
